The Hoxton, Chicago

Flew in from Orlando and Stayed for one night in town to celebrate a fellow real estate colleague’s wedding. The room was outstanding! Super fun attention to detail and great vibe. Simple and fast check in process. Loved all of the special touches and the kind staff. I would definitely stay at The Hoxton again! We also dined at the hotel restaurant for lunch, the food was great!

Check in was friendly and easy. The atmosphere was super fun, 3 different bars in the hotel so it was great having dinner at Cira and then checking out the other bars in the hotel and The Reading Room next door. The room was very small, really only accomodates 2 people at max. But it was cute! And I have to mention something about the shower because it was amazing! I will be booking again just for the showers. It's a rain shower with lots of pressure and plenty of hot water. Very relaxing. The beds were average. The rail train was right next to our window, it's not super loud but you definitely notice when it passes by, they really should've installed sound proof windows on that side of the building. But thankfully we travel with a sound machine so we slept just fine. It was clean and I'm very picky about that so even tho it was a very small room we still really enjoyed our stay. We booked through Hotel Tonight and the cost was $177 but that doesn't include the $75 parking fee. ... And the food at Cira was incredible!! We also ordered room service through Cira the next morning and the French toast was delish!

Obviously the vibe is amazing here and super trendy. Design of the building is great and location is wonderful. Rooftop pool is awesome. The thing you have to know about the Hoxton though is that it’s barely a hotel—it’s honestly more of a restaurant and rooftop pool space with a few rooms in between. That’s the level of service you get; it barely exists. I say this in a nice way because we had a lovely time but if you are hoping for a quiet or serene experience definitely do not stay here. Other issues include classic trendy 4-star hotel issues including lack of towel plushness, no ice machines, no ironing boards in the room, etc. BUT the restaurants and pools are great, and the beds are comfortable. Just know what you want if you stay here!

I stayed at this hotel in May 2023. Overall, the hotel itself was pleasant and offered a comfortable stay. However, I feel compelled to share my experience with the room service, which left much to be desired. During my stay, I decided to use the room service for meals. Unfortunately, on two separate occasions, my orders never arrived. Frustrated with the situation, I requested a refund for both orders. The hotel staff assured me that they would cancel the charges on my credit card, but to my disappointment, both amounts were still deducted. This led me to engage in a lengthy and tiresome exchange of emails, seeking a resolution. It took nearly 3 months of persistent effort on my part before I finally received a refund for one of the orders. However, I am still awaiting a refund for the second order, which is disheartening. While I found the hotel's amenities and accommodations to be satisfactory, the room service experience left a lot to be desired. The lack of promptness and the subsequent billing issues dampened my overall impression of the hotel's service.

The Hoxton is a boutique hotel located in Fulton Market area. There are three different bar areas at the hotel: in the lobby, by the pool, and the basement speakeasy. Plus, they have a coffee bar in the lobby as well. The rooms are well decorated and comfortable. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and would stay again. It is a bit loud at times in the room, but not from the bars. I didn't have any noise bleed through from that. They do have room service although I didn't try it.

Great location and the rooms are really nice. I took off a star simply because I could hear the metro passing by from my hotel room and it was so loud! Also, having to provide your email to connect to wifi is really scummy way to get customer's contact info. Do it like Hilton or Marriott where you just need to put your name and hotel number to connect to wifi...
